|  FLOCK & STOCK FARM  |

~ Handful of Hobbies | Heart Full of Hopes ~

Flock & Stock Farm didn't begin with me. It began with the courage and determination of a pair of sisters, my mother (Christina Lane) and my aunt (Lily Davis). Together they set out to start a hobby farm for their families. It was a partnership of immense trust, learning together, physical labor and the usual; blood, sweat, and many tears.

All my life I enjoyed the company of animals so naturally I was stoked to assist them in any way I could. I remember like it was yesterday when I got to pick out the farms' first goat; Suzie. She was a brown and white Nubian goat that had the vocal cord strength to rival any howler monkey. Never have I seen so many heads turn in our direction as we drove through town to bring her home.

That was ten years ago and now in the year 2020 the farm has passed to me. With all the knowledge I have gained from my mother and my aunt and the new information I have learned on my own, the focus is still the same; work hard and provide for the family.

Without further adieu, I present

Since 2010, this family hobby farm has been raising a variety of farm animals on a small scale so it's better for

Mother Earth and for our families. From raising and butchering our own chickens for meat to making our own goats cheeses, we have learned a lot these past years.

Now the responsibility has fallen upon my youngest sister and me. With a lot to live up to we are making an extra effort to take this farm to the next level. With open pasture and the promise of electric movable fencing we have big dreams to make the most out of the land provided as well as expanding the flock of sheep to a new breed; Katahdins a.k.a. hair sheep.

I am grateful for everything my family has taught me as well as the person they helped me become. It was because of their determination and choice to start this lifestyle that I plan to do the same for my family in the future. I hope to continue with my many hobbies and use the time that I have to learn all I can. One day, hopefully, I will have children to teach too.
